Description
High employees turnover is one of the challenges for the hotel industry. Instead of viewing this issue from hotel owner/operators’ perspective, it is important to view the phenomenon from the employees’ perspective by exploring the ways (Psychological Ownership (PO) they can be encouraged to work in a hotel for a long time. The report explores types of PO that can be evidenced or applied in the hotel sector. Accordingly, 3 databases (Ebscohost, Science Direct, Web of Science) have been selected via ‘abstract screening’ to retrieve past academic articles that have explored this topic. Subsequently, 4 PO types (job-based, hotel-based, knowledge-based and space-based) have been identified to be useful to encourage employees to stay loyal with a hotel. It is important for hotel owners/operators to identify employee PO types before remedial actions are initiated.Period | 18 May 2023 → 19 May 2023 |
