Description
Some of the potential benefits of using AI tools in policing and security services include reduced resourcing pressures, improved public safety and the potential for more consistent outcomes. However, the use of this technology also presents several challenges.AI technology to date within law enforcement has largely been developed and deployed as ‘single use’ solutions within (and reinforcing) existing siloes. Within this context, the use of AI brings with it considerable challenges around the ethical and responsible use of AI.
