    The 28th Annual Congress, titled “Navigating Uncertainty: (re)situating and (re)imagining contemporary sociological knowledge within the context of South Africa, Africa and the Global South,” explored sociological responses to an era of uncertainty across various societal dimensions. Held within the epistemic framework of inter-, multi-, and trans-disciplinarity, the congress examined the implications of new East-oriented relations in South Africa for future knowledge production.
