Summer 2024 Conference: Charting New Frontiers in Racial Equality Research

The Centre for the Advancement of Racial Equality (CARE) proudly serves as an interdisciplinary research hub situated at the University of Northampton. Our dynamic team of researchers spans a multitude of disciplines, including Law, Literature, Sociology, Education, Computing, Business, Engineering, History, and Health. By uniting these diverse fields, CARE is dedicated to actively spearheading positive change in racial equality, both locally and on a global scale.
As we propel our ambitious agenda forward, we extend a warm invitation to scholars, practitioners, and community advocates to contribute to our Summer 2024 Conference. We seek papers, panels, and presentations that deeply engage with the complex issues surrounding race, ethnicity, racial inequality, and the pathways to positive change. Embracing inclusivity, we welcome submissions from individuals at all career stages, fostering a dialogue that includes academic perspectives alongside insights from professionals and community organisations actively involved in addressing these crucial issues.

Submission Guidelines:
•Abstract Submission Deadline: 18th April 2024
•Acceptance Notifications: 02nd May 2024

Presentation types
•Oral presentations (15 – 20 minutes)
•Poster presentation (Poster format is A0 vertical (841x1189 mm: Digital form)
About the event:
Our summer 2024 conference will offer opportunities for exchanging ideas in a supportive environment and will include opportunities to meet and network with new people. We look forward to bringing together research and reflections from a wide range of academics, activists and community groups and organisations.
If you are engaged in research, or are working on an important and impactful project, please let us know. To submit an abstract for a 15-20 minutes presentation, or a poster presentation, please send your abstract of Max. 250 words to: [email protected].

If your abstract is accepted, you will be asked to submit a brief biographical statement for the booklet of published abstracts.
