Today, I will argue that participatory research approaches leverage democracy in Early childhood education and Education by empowering stakeholders to reposition from being researched to researching, I consider three widely used models to highlight some key characteristics, benefits and challenges of participatory approaches to research in education, and I will share some examples of participatory research that I have worked on.
