Creative Computing for the Primary Curriculum

Activity: Academic Talks or PresentationsOral presentationResearch

Description

Support your pupils in learning to program games, interactive art, musical activities and animations. Learn to write programs that respond to sounds or gestures and control creatures in your own virtual world. Explore physical computing techniques to make tangible objects such as a lego alligator or a banana piano using sensors and conductive materials. We'll show you how you can have fun with computer programming and build a toolkit of activities to meet the new programmes of study for KS1 and KS2. We'll also look at how to use 'unplugged' activities away from the computer to build understanding of computational thinking. No prior knowledge needed.
