Drawn from an earlier paper (Murray, 2021), the central argument of this presentation is that an excellent teacher is a teacher who is always learning. The argument is framed by addressing three questions: WHAT makes the ‘good teacher?’, ‘WHY should excellent teachers be learners?’, and ‘HOW can teachers can keep learning throughout their careers?’
