Summary of the talk:
The session’s aim is to present the current status in Europe and Globally on the work done in technology for inclusion, through the initiatives of European and international associations and networks. More specifically some of the work of the Association for the Advancement of Assistive Technology in Europe (AAATE) and the Global Alliance of Assistive Technology Organisations (GAATO) will be briefly discussed, followed by some examples of research and other projects. The emphasis will be on project based collaborative work for empowering persons with disabilities for digital inclusion and the effective use of assistive technology.
