Description

The impact of Covid-19 in the education sector is considered light in comparison to some other service sectors such as hospitality and tourism. However, the massive shift from face-to-face to virtual teaching and learning has impacted teaching practices worldwide. Predominantly, three crucial factors have been enormously affected; attendance management, student engagement and assessment/outcome. Hence, we aim to explore how these three factors affected teaching practices pre and during Covid-19. We focus on lecturers’ perception from two distinct higher education institutions (The University of Northampton and Universiti Utara Malaysia-Northern University of Malaysia) on the changes before and during the pandemic.
