Description
A team of CSBP colleagues recently visited Ghana to undertake a field research exercise under the FRESHPPACT project. The FRESHPPACT project is funding the UK government through its UK International Development funding and Sustainable Manufacturing Environmental Pollution Program (SMEP). The work of the FRESHPPACT project is also support by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).During the visit to Ghana, the research team organised a roundtable stakeholder event to share knowledge on the findings realised from the project so far, and policy recommendations on how Ghana can better achieve a more robust policy framework which facilitates effective plastic waste management. Following the roundtable, the policy recommendations were also shared with the Government of Ghana's Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI).
