Description
In this presentation, I discussed evidence showing the importance of good quality friendships for children's development and school experience. I shared some research findings from a study I conducted with Claire Monks on friendship quality in middle childhood, and how this has led to research-informed materials on friendship for teachers to use as part of the new statutory Relationships Education in primary schools. Known as 'Our Class', I introduced the educational resources we have designed, described their structure and content, and outlined the current work we are doing to evaluate their impact.Period | 23 May 2024 |
