Invited talk to the BPS Psychologist in the Pub Public Talk Series: Can understanding the functional characteristics of drinking environments make nightlife healthier?
In this talk, Dr Kimberley Hill will outline the evidence base for interventions and prevention approaches aimed at reducing excessive alcohol consumption. After outlining some recent findings, Kimberley will discuss the possibility that action-oriented predictive processing and affordances could explain and prevent health risk behaviour, or enable individuals to make better health choices.
