The complex puzzle of friendship and bullying: avenues for intervention

Description

In this seminar we will discuss some of the evidence showing how children's friendships relate to bullying experiences in important and complex ways. In particular, we will look how healthy and unhealthy friendships may play a role in children’s risk of bullying involvement and how they respond to bullying incidents. We will also introduce core features of good quality friendships and how these can be nurtured in the school environment as part of anti-bullying initiatives.
