Description
Following the success of the curriculum-embedded I Heart Consent week of action (2015-2017) and a number of research projects (I Heart Consent (2017-2018; New Spaces (2018-2019); Consent: The Game (2019-2020), with work informing that of OFS/ HEFCE and Minimum Guidelines published for Universities), this #NeverOK week of action was launched in 2021. Guided by research findings, this was the University's First Campaign for Change and launched all of the work done in this area at the University: including:• Developing resources outlining supporting and reporting options, with dedicated student response and staff support webpages.
• Three reporting options and expanded reporting routes.
• 2 new staff and student policies.
• Training for staff on responding to disclosures.
• Trained sexual violence liaison officers (SVLOs).
• Excellent links with external services – such as Serenity and Rape Crisis.
