Description
Member of the Inter-University Centre AIM (Interaction and Mediation Research Centre), based at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.Aim was founded by an agreement between the founding universities of Bologna, Bolzano, Genoa, Macerata, Modena and Reggio Emilia, Naples - L'Orientale, Perugia Statale, Roma 3, Siena and Trieste and has its administrative headquarters at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. The members of the AIM Center carry out interdisciplinary research on spoken communication, especially in institutional settings and in intercultural contexts. They intend to promote research activities, scientific discussion, dissemination and training.
The AIM Center is interested in studies concerning interactions that contain forms of mediation (for example by linguistic mediators, or teachers, or coordinators of debates, peace mediators and other institutional operators) in areas such as education, healthcare, law, of welfare services and workplaces.
The AIM Center proposes its activities within a broad framework of national and international contacts, which allow it to create a wide-ranging scientific debate. The AIM Center thus intends to contribute to enriching the panorama of Italian and international research.
The AIM Center aims to combine opportunities for reflection and discussion with the offer of planning, training and consultancy services, which can also be used by different subjects, such as public and private bodies, NGOs, businesses, etc.
