Description
There are many ways that universities measure the quality of learning and teaching, including Module evaluation surveys, National Student Surveys, the Teaching Excellence Framework, and student engagement dashboards. Students engage with different systems such as the library, VLE, attendance monitoring etc., which generate data used for learning analytics. These analytics can help support learning and teaching on an individual student, course or institutional level.
While there are many data sets available of student engagement with their learning, the question arises of how this data will be used. How can the data be used to improve learning and teaching? How can we use the data to be informed when we support students? In this event we aim to discuss the issues and provide case studies of best practice.
