15 one to one qualitative interviews with refugee teachers

Description

A series of interviews conducted in Gaziantep, Turkey, with 15 refugee teachers. Topics covered include teachers’ life and work experiences before coming to Turkey, their current life in Turkey including working as teachers, what it means to be a teacher, being able to work as a teacher in their host country, and how they support one another within their community. Details from these interviews contributed to the journal article “Teaching in displacement: refugee teachers’ agency and the reworking of social and professional practices”.

The interview transcripts cannot be shared publicly as they contain identifiable personal data.
