Coach learning and club environment inform behaviour towards implementing training load and maturation monitoring practices in professional youth football academies

The dataset comprises coaches currently employed within professional youth football academies in the UK. All coaches work within the youth development phase and represent clubs across Category 1 to Category 3 academy status.

The dataset is stored in NVivo (V14) format and contains the full, anonymised transcripts from each coach interview following initial familiarisation and data cleaning. The file documents the complete qualitative analysis process, including coding procedures and the development of lower-order and higher-order themes.
