Dataset

Description

The study sample included 8 final year PE Specialists (pseudonyms used) from the BA (QTS) Primary Education Course who graduated in July 2016 and commenced their NQT year in September 2016. Volunteers from within the cohort who felt willing and able to contribute to the research came forward following an email inviting them to participate. My sample included six female trainees and two male trainees, in the age range of 21-25 years old. The data set comprises 24 interviews and 24 visual representations. The data analysis employed Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis using the guidelines suggested by Larkin and Thompson (2012)- the analysis of the narrative data and the visual representations included conducting a line by line analysis of the data and identifying themes as they emerge from the data.
