This dataset investigates the properties of a waste collagen material processed using a deep eutectic solvent (DES). The material in question was obtained by the complexation between choline chloride (ChCl) and ethylene glycol 1: 2 (ChCl:2EG) together with waste collagen to form a material with properties similar to leather. This dataset includes X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) to probe the crystallinity of the composite material compared to commercial leather samples. Tensile Stress-Strain data to highlight the impact of the processing on mechanical properties. Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) highlights the denaturation temperature of the materials probing the effect of the extrusion process and the interactions with the DES. Dynamic Mechanical (Thermal) Analysis (DMTA) is reported to probe the temperature dependence on the physical properties of the extruded materials compared to commercial leather materials.
