Description

This dataset provides study characteristics of 24 original articles that reported prevalence of breast cancer among Iranian women. The data is secondary and is extracted from the 24 published articles. These 24 studies were identified through a systematic review and after searching Persian and English indices of SID, MagIran, IranMedex, IranDoc, Google Scholar, Cochrane, Embase, ScienceDirect, Scopus, PubMed and Web of Science.
The data are provided in both Persian and English. Analysed data are reported within the associated published article, in which a meta-analysis was conducted to report the overall prevalence of cancer among Iranian woman by approximating the reported prevalence within the selected studies. The meta-regression analysis was conducted to investigate the effect of study year on the overall reported prevalence.
