Professor Richard Hazenberg and Marc Gummer of the Institute for Social Innovation and Impact at the University of Northampton contributed quantitative consumer analysis to Latner and Associates for a market research report for the US Hide, Skin and Leather Association and the Leather Industries of America. The report provides a 'foundation for developing and implementing effective programs, strategies and activies that will lead to increase worldwide leather demand and increased U.S hide and leather exports' (p. 3).

How have research outputs led to this impact?

The research offered an an analysis of data collected as part of a project exploring the sustainability of supply chains for different leather products and how this relates to the needs, wants and perceptions of consumers. It sought to explore consumer perceptions and attitudes towards sustainability in the leather supply-chain, so as to better understand the issues that were most important to consumers.
