Ahmed Osama Basil Al-Mashhadani's research focuses on enhancing network efficiency and user experience in multimedia applications through innovative network designs like software-defined networks (SDN). He explores fairness in multimedia distribution, addressing both application-level and human-level fairness, and how programmable networks can manage network resources to improve quality of experience (QoE) across different user devices. His work emphasizes the critical role of fairness in resource competition among media applications, suggesting SDN as a tool for achieving equitable resource allocation and optimizing QoE.
