Biography

Alex Young is currently a Lecturer in Tourism and Hospitality Management at the University of Northampton in the Faculty of Business and Law. Alex holds an MA in International Tourism Development and a BA in International Tourism Management, both from the University of Northampton, and is soon to complete an MSc in Digital Marketing at the same institution. She is also a Professional Digital Marketer, accredited by the Digital Marketing Institute. Alex has spent most of her academic career combining her expertise in tourism, hospitality, and events with digital marketing. Prior to academia, she gained valuable experience working in sales and the hospitality industry, specifically in food and beverage, and developed skills in visual merchandising within the retail sector.

Teaching Interests

Alex teaches tourism, hospitality, events, and marketing across multiple undergraduate programmes within the Faculty of Business and Law at the University of Northampton. She is module leader for, and teaches on, several modules including Tourism Management and Development, International Resort and Spa Management, and Content Marketing and PR for Events. Additionally, Alex contributes to digital marketing modules within the School of Marketing and Hospitality Management.
