Personal profile

Biography

I am a veteran Games Artist and Developer with 27 years experience in the Industry both Full Time and Freelance. Although previous to this I was a Product Designer and Illustrator.

Back in 2014, after answering a call for help from an old friend who was leading the Games course at the time, I joined the University to run a module for a term before a new member of the team could start..

In 2016 I came back again as an Associate Lecturer to help out on a couple of modules and kept coming back each year until I secured a part time contract in 2020.

This lead to a full time contract in 2021 when I became a Senior Lecturer in Games Design. Now I am looking to use my development knowledge in a research capacity as well as a teaching one.

Research Interests

I have worked on 42 titles over the years across different genres and gaming platforms but now I am interested in how my Gaming experience
can be used in a more serious capacity for helping people and not just for fun. The main areas I am looking to investigate are in Augmented/ Virtual Reality and Game Based Learning.
