Personal profile


Atish joined the University in Northampton in 2017 and is both a Lecturer in Environmental Science and the Laboratory Manager of Environmental Science and Geography. He is an active researcher in aquatic biology and contributes to the Environmental Science, Geography and Biological Sciences degree programmes. He is curently an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Research Interests

Research interests include ecological responses to drying in rivers; macroinvertebrate use of subsurface refuges in response to drying; impact of fine sediment and water chemistry on aquatic ecology; use of novel experimental lab and field techniques in river ecology; climate change resilience / governance.
