Biography
Ben is currently a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Exercise Physiology at the University of Northampton with teaching commitments predominately within the Sport Science provision for modules focused on Sport and Exercise Physiology. Ben also leads our falls prevention classes delivered on campus. Outside of the organisation, Ben works as a lecturer in Sport Science for Activate Learning.
Research Interests
The application of novel approaches to isometric resistance training in the treatment and control of high blood pressure.
The mechanisms underpinning cardiovascular adaptation leading to a reducing blood pressure following isometric resistance training.
The measurement of training-load and examining the associations with fitness and performance characteristics in soccer players.
Expertise related to UN Sustainable Development Goals
