Biography
Dr Volkovyskaya is Chartered Psychologist and qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist with background in Clinical Psychology and PhD degree in Cognitive Psychology.
Currently, Dr Evgenia Volkovyskaya is a BSc (Foundation) Programme Leader and Senior Lecture in Psychology and Mental Health at the University of Northampton. She is involved in module co-ordination of the Level 5 Optional Placement Year Experience and Level 6 Psychology of Mental Health modules. Evgenia is a Faculty Research Ethics Officer and BSc/MSc Dissertation supervisor. Dr Volkovyskaya supervises PhD project and accepts new PhD students.
Research Interests
- Psycholinguistics (psychology of language): bilingualism and memory, language impairment;
- Clinical and Health Psychology: neuropsychological rehabilitation (e.g. Stroke); Clinical Hypnotherapy; Emotions and Alexithymia (emotional unawareness);
- Other areas of Mental Health.
