Biography
Fatima is currently a Lecturer in Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour at the University of Northampton, within the Faculty of Business and Law. She previously served as an Associate Lecturer in the same disciplines at UON. Additionally, Fatima worked on a research project as a PhD candidate at the University of Northampton, Faculty of Business and Law. In the past, she also held a position as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Bedfordshire, where she was involved in teaching and supervisory roles. Based on her current role as a Lecturer at UON, she is actively involved in teaching and supervising at postgraduate level (level 7), and advising and guiding students on placement route about prospects and directions.
Fatima holds a BSc (Hons) in Design from Comsats University, Lahore, an MSc in Project Management from the University of Northampton, and a PhD titled ‘Impact of technological advancements on Food Supply Chains’ from the University of Northampton. Prior to joining the University of Northampton, Fatima worked as a project coordinator at a pharmaceutical company and led and advised project teams to deliver complex projects on time. Since the s beginning of 2022, Fatima has been actively engaged in teaching, supervision, and research within UK Higher Education. Her research interests involve sustainable supply chain management, value chain management, green human resource management, technological advancements, ethical decision-making, sustainability, simulation, scenario analysis and sustainability-oriented technologies.
In addition to lecturing and supervising postgraduate students (MBA and MSc Project Management), Fatima is actively engaged in research, with published papers in the fields of automation, operations management, and agri-food logistics. She is dedicated to advancing academic and scientific knowledge in business management and is committed to promoting inclusivity, diversity, and educational excellence within the Higher Education sector.
Supervision
Fatima currently supervises students at postgraduate level and guides and supports them with their research projects.
Research Interests
Fatima's expertise and research interests include sustainable supply chain management, value chain, green human resource management, sustainability-oriented technologies, risk assessment, simulation, scenario analysis and ethical decision-making.
