Personal profile


Dr. Hala Georges is an artist, researcher and filmmaker. She was a Lecturer and researcher in Visual Communication at the University of Damascus before moving to the UK in 2010. Since then her practice based research has been concerned with the tragic impact of the Syrian war and focused on bringing a personal perspective of the conflict. In 2016, Hala was awarded Doctorate of Philosophy in Creative Arts from University of Brighton, following the completion of Master of Arts in Graphic Design at The University for Creative Arts. Currently, she is a Senior Lecturer in Graphic Communication at The University of Northampton, UK and the Course Leader of BA Visual Communication at Sint Lucas College, Netherlands.
