Biography

Jean joined the University in February 2021 as a Lecturer in HRM within the Faculty of Business and Law. Her educational background is BSc in Computer Science, MSc in HRM and a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education. Jean’s doctoral research explored performance management within a less developed country’s context, and she has been a Fellow of the Advance Higher Education since 2017. Jean is also an academic member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)

Jean is a committee member of the Performance Management Special Interest Group of the British Academy of Management and a Reviewer for some ABS-ranked Journals.

Research Interests

Jean is interested in research that explores performance management, especially the informal activities and other HRM-related topics within different contexts.

Supervision

Jean current supervises undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations 

Teaching Interests

Jean leads and teaches modules across different levels on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
