Biography
Jean joined the University in February 2021 as a Lecturer in HRM within the Faculty of Business and Law. Her educational background is BSc in Computer Science, MSc in HRM and a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education. Jean’s doctoral research explored performance management within a less developed country’s context, and she has been a Fellow of the Advance Higher Education since 2017. Jean is also an academic member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and the program leader for the BA Human Resource Management
Jean is a committee member of the Performance Management Special Interest Group of the British Academy of Management and a Reviewer for some ABS-ranked Journals.
Research Interests
Jean is interested in research that explores performance management, especially the informal activities and other HRM-related topics within different contexts.
Supervision
Jean currently supervises undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations and doctoral students' thesis.
Teaching Interests
Jean leads and teaches modules across different levels of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Jean also facilitates one of the taught modules in the DBA program.
