Joanna is a part-time Research Assistant at the Institute for Public Safety, Crime and Justice, at the University of Northampton, and a part-time Trainee Forensic Psychologist.
Joanna achieved a BSc in Applied Psychology from University of Leicester, and a MSc in Forensic Psychology from Coventry University.
Joanna's research interests focus on crime, justice, and psychology, with a particular enthusiasm for research within prisons. Joanna is also passionate about researching the psychology of working within prisons, and the mental health of prison staff, writing her MSc dissertation on the experience of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in ex-Prison Officers.
Joanna is also interested in research which informs work around sexual and/or domestic abuse survivors.
