Kelechi Ndudi-Okoro

Kelechi Ndudi-Okoro is a Doctoral Researcher and Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Faculty of Business and Law at the University of Northampton. She is currently completing her PhD in Sustainable Business Practices, funded by the University of Northampton, with an expected completion date of 2027.

Her doctoral research, titled Exploring Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure Practices of Dual-Purpose Multinational Corporations in the Fresh Fruit Industry with Supply Chains Linked to Africa, examines how multinational corporations communicate and implement sustainability commitments within global agricultural supply chains connected to African producers. The research focuses on the intersection of corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainability governance, and transparency in global supply chains, particularly within the fresh fruit industry.

Alongside her doctoral research, Kelechi contributes to teaching and academic development within the University of Northampton’s Faculty of Business and Law, where she lectures and supports teaching across several undergraduate modules related to sustainability, responsible business, and research methods. She currently serves as Module Leader for BUS3022: Social Responsibility in Practice, guiding students to critically examine the role of business in addressing contemporary social and environmental challenges.

Kelechi is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and is committed to developing engaging, research-informed teaching practices that support critical thinking and student engagement in sustainability and responsible business.

Her research and teaching activities are closely linked to wider sustainability initiatives within the university. She has organised and contributed to academic workshops and conferences and actively participates in interdisciplinary discussions on sustainable business practices. In 2025, she spoke at the Policy Implementation Programme held in Ghana, representing the Centre for Sustainable Business Practices at the University of Northampton and contributing to discussions on policy pathways and business-led alternatives to plastic use in Ghana.

Kelechi’s research has also been recognised within the university community. She won the University of Northampton Doctoral Poster Competition in 2024, presenting key insights from her doctoral work.

She also contributes to the wider doctoral research community as a Postgraduate Research (PGR) Representative, supporting student engagement and research culture within the Faculty of Business and Law.

Through her research, teaching, and knowledge exchange activities, Kelechi aims to contribute to academic and policy discussions on sustainable supply chains, responsible business practices, and corporate accountability in global agricultural systems.
