Biography

I am a qualified teacher with over 20 years of experience in further education, specialising in curriculum design, development, and management. My broad pedagogical knowledge enables me to deliver practical and engaging sessions that help demystify academic skills for learners.

In 2017, I joined the University of Northampton as a Learning Development Tutor and was appointed Head of Learning Development in 2021. I am also actively involved with the Association of Learning Development in Higher Education (ALDinHE), currently serving as Secretary after previously chairing the Professional Recognition Working Group. This role has provided valuable opportunities to represent the profession, build networks beyond my institution, and help shape strategic developments within the Association.

Research Interests

My research interests include resilience and progression, impact of learning development and inclusive pedagogy.
