Biography
Una is the Programme Leader for the Postgraduate Diploma in SpLD and Inclusion and Programme Leader for the BA in Inclusive Studies, SEN & Disability and Diversity. She is a module leader on the National Award in Special Educational Need Coordination. Una is a Fellow of the HEA.
Before coming to Northampton, Una's professional background was as a primary school teacher, a SENCo and an advisory teacher in the area of cognition and learning.
Research Interests
Una is currently completing her PhD on the subject of 'The construction of disadvantage in English secondary schools'. Other research interests include dyslexia and other literacy difficulties and support for learners experiencing literacy difficulties.
