Biography
Dr Yinghui Zhang obtained his BSc degree in Mathematics at the Zhejiang University, and went on to study the Relational Database System at the Northeastern Heavy Machinery Institute exploring the foundations of NULL-keyword database theory for his Master’s degree. He completed his PhD in Virtual Environments (Virtual Reality) at the University of Hull.
He is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Northampton. His current research interests focus on incorporating the Brush friction model into the state of art development of physically based simulation, global illumination, and haptic based virtual environment and its applications in medicine. He has led and completed several UK and P.R China funded projects his research focuses on.

Dr Yinghui Zhang's research interests focus on virtual reality, computer graphics and physically based simulations.
