Project Details
Description
This project aims to centralise equality issues by engaging a diverse range of new audiences within the esports community (e.g., schools, academics, industry professionals). Our objectives are to:
1) Develop stronger networks and relationships between UON's internal stakeholders (e.g., staff, researchers, students) and esports industry professionals.
2) Facilitate multi-stakeholder knowledge exchange regarding EDI in esports to generate positive strategies for change.
3) Deliver community engagement activities that encourage positive attitudinal change and challenge gender inequality within esports.
This will be achieved through an 'Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in Esports: Online Symposium' and a 'Gender Equality in Esports, Student Competition.'
