Developing a Northamptonshire Dementia Knowledge and Skills Education and Training Framework.

As the Research Leads for the revised Northamptonshire Dementia Strategy, Dr Ward and I agreed to develop and design an online Survey to ‘capture’ the current dementia training and education landscape across the county so potential partners could collaboratively work together to develop a Northamptonshire Dementia Knowledge and Skills Education and Training Framework, which could be delivered by a range of partners with the appropriate expertise and capacity to deliver it. This proposal builds on the survey findings and two subsequent workshops conducted at UON with external stakeholders to agree the content and format for the proposed Northants Dementia Knowledge and Skills Framework. The proposal outlines the format for two subsequent workshops to gather the views of key leaders to developing a funding mechanism and delivery structure for the Northants Framework, and the production of the Guidance for the Knowledge Framework.
