Description
A pilot study to:
- Set up a local PPI group with people with dementia and their care partners utilising existing contacts of the University of Northampton’s Dementia Research and Innovation Centre (NDRIC) and knowledge of local community venues to host this group within the community.
- Co-create a positive psychological intervention based around awe for people with dementia and their care partners, with people with dementia and their care partners; through PPI focus group meetings within the community.
- Co-create a dissemination event for members of the group to disseminate their findings within the community; utilising this research as a pilot study to inform a larger body of research into positive psychology for people with dementia.
Working towards larger external funding that will be informed by this research.
