Project Details
Description
The project will explore the effects of shared tutoring on student engagement and belonging across an academic course. Following the results from an URB@N project, ‘evaluating student perceptions on roles and responsibilities of a Personal Academic Tutors’, we aim to co-support students as a Personal Engagement Academic Team (PEAT) and engage in collaborative practice to improve student outcomes. The project leads are currently PAT leads within the Science team of the Faculty of Art, Science and Technology, and are championing an innovative PAT pathway designed to address the gaps in student attainment and engagement. The project will suggest ways in which the co-creation of an inclusive PAT curriculum can engage students in personal development and foster student belonging, through the design of innovative pedagogy.
