Project Details
Description
This project [MotivateMyself 2 (MM2)] builds on a successful 2024 pilot that introduced Motivational Interviewing (MI) informed practice to academic and student support colleagues. It will co-design and deliver a structured MI intervention with a new and existing cohort of MI trained staff focusing on enhancing student motivation, engagement, and belonging though use of MI method. The project includes training, reflective evaluation, and development of a practical resource/toolkit. It aligns with the University’s Access and Participation Plan and Personal Academic Tutor (PAT) enhancement goals, and will generate practice-based insights to support sustainable, inclusive support strategies across the student lifecycle.
