A 360-degree review of the business took place through an extensive and in-depth review of policies and processes, and meetings/ round table discussions with senior management and IT Services. The data collected through these activities were utilised to perform a gap analysis, existing best practice, and areas for improvement that were based on a technological, policy and people development perspective. The results of this were used to form the basis of a set of recommendations that aligned with the company’s desire to be frugal but effective with their resources. A short and a mid-term position was established for actions to help increase the robust-ness of prevention and mitigation of not just cyber risk, but also risk and technological risk more broadly.
