Project Details
Description
This project investigates how AI tools support students and tutors in using multimodal composition to enhance critical thinking, engagement, and belonging. Multimodal assessment formats are increasingly offered at UON to meet the needs of a diverse student body. The study explores how the ethical use of AI tools can support students, especially those from under-represented groups, international, and EAL cohorts, to build confidence, express ideas creatively, and develop academic criticality. The project will generate actionable insights into AI literacy, inclusive teaching practices, ethical AI use, and digital capabilities. These will inform assessment design and belonging strategies across multiple subject areas.
