Project Details

Description

Blue Skies and Waitrose and partners were successful in acquiring funding from the sustainable manufacturing and environmental pollution initiative (SMEP) for the development of a research and development hub. This funding was planned to be awarded in three phases. CSBP was successful to partner with Blue Skies and Waitrose as part of the first phase of the project. This application is being submitted for approval for the second phase of the SMEP project. Following involvement in the first phase, CSBP has been retained as the University partner for the second phase with confirmation of funding imminent. Accordingly, no separate costing was conducted by CSBP, instead the project lead (Blue Skies) has proposed sub-contractor costing which sets out the funding that will be available to the University. Please note that the project in Phase 1 - which was successfully delivered in April - intended to develop a research and development hub strategy for the consortium. This research and development hub is now named FRESHPPACT.
