Project Details

Description

A pilot study to investigate how people's perception of historical monuments that are associated with slavery and colonialism has been transformed after Black Life Matters movement. As a visual communicator, I aim to respond to the findings of the study by producing an ‘art’ piece to be publicly displayed, to initiate a debate around the politically correct or tolerable art and question if it remains art in the typical sense. A collaboration will take a place with Dr Daniel Jones from the History Department at UoN to help understand the historical context of the study.
