Abstract

A poster using material from the archive to illustrate the kind of material held, and how it can be used to tell a story of wider events. Using material primarily from Spearhead, the poster discussed how Spearhead and John Tyndall approached the issue of Europe around the 1975 referendum and invited examination of parallels with the 2016 EU Referendum. The poster was also used to engage people in discussion and allow discussion of integration of archive material into classrooms - and now sits in the archive alongside our teaching boxes and banner.
