Abstract

Blockchain is a decentralised ledger used to secure digital currency, perform deals and transactions. A new transaction is validated when each member of network has access to the latest copy of the encrypted ledger. The features of blockchain are immutabil-ity, trackability, trustworthiness and decentralisation. This paper explores the concept, characteristics, and the need for blockchain in cybersecurity management. Blockchain is based on cryptography to ensure trust in transactions. Blockchain technologies made a remarkable contribution in Cybersecurity.
