Research output: Book/ReportCommissioned Report

Abstract

The aim of this research project is to provide a comprehensive evaluation framework capable of both assessing the social impact of the Prospects resilience programme and adding value to the business model by increasing knowledge/understanding of what works and why. Building on the University of Northampton’s ‘Social Impact Matrix©’ approach, this evaluation will encompass the short- and long-term impact of the programme on children and young people - in relation to their resilience and wellbeing – and mentors – in relation to the impact of the training they receive and their work with children and young people. The pilot research, undertaken over a three-month period at the start of 2019, aims to provide initial feedback from the Boost app. This data may impact phase 2 of the Boost app and will also be used to inform the full-scale research evaluation project of the Prospects resilience programme which will report findings in early January 2020. The aim of this report is to presents the results from the pilot study and to suggest improvements to address issues highlighted by this pilot study.
