Abstract
Contemporary Issues in Primary Physical Education is a timely and relevant read for primary trainees, primary teachers, primary teacher educators and those wanting to consider the factors that have shaped and continue to shape primary physical education. The book is clear in what it aims to do, this includes fostering awareness of primary physical education challenges and debates in a post Covid19, health and recovery focussed time. Acknowledging that no contemporary issues text can cover every contemporary issue, this book has selected meaningful and relevant issues that are both ‘current’ and ‘enduring’ (p.2). Aimed at starting conversations and supporting reflection, this book carefully curates their chosen topics to encourage readers to reflect on their values and priorities, engage with debate and consider action.
